If you off-road a 3rd Gen 4Runner or 1st Gen Tacoma, you already know the factory cast spindles are a ticking time bomb. Between cracking upper ball joint rings, bent uprights, shearing lower ball joint bolts, and catastrophic LBJ separation on the trail, the OEM design simply wasn’t built for how we drive today. Add heavy 35” tires, and you’re shredding weak factory wheel bearings that require an expensive shop press just to replace.

• Heavy-Duty Construction: Fully fabricated from 1/4" steel plate to handle hard hits, washboards, and big air without bending or cracking.

• Universal Lower Arm Fitment: Bolts directly to stock lower control arms or any aftermarket long-travel kit designed for the OEM lower ball joint.

• Eliminate LBJ Failures: Replaces the vulnerable stock lower ball joint with a 1" uniball welded directly into the bottom of the spindle.

• Easy Wheel Bearing Swaps: Redesigned to use off-the-shelf Toyota hub assemblies. No more press work or shop visits—swap bearings easily in your driveway or garage while maintaining full compatibility with your stock 4x4 axles and ABS.

• Massive Brake Upgrade: Engineered to fit 5th Gen 4Runner 13.3" rotors and larger calipers. Stop 35" tires with confidence instead of riding on underpowered factory brakes.

• Steering: Uses a heim joint for the outer tie rod, with built-in clearance adjustment at the mounting bracket so you can fine-tune your bump steer geometry

• Factory Geometry Preserved: Maintains the stock Upper Control Arm mounting angle, ensuring your suspension cycles its full intended travel, long travel kit or stock arms without binding.

Vehicle Requirements & Compatibility Notes

Upper Control Arms: Requires aftermarket UCAs running a uniball (Saga Offroad or other brands). Uses a 5/8" mounting bolt. If your UCAs use different hardware, Saga offers a conversion kit with matching misalignment spacers and grade-8 5/8" hardware.

Brakes: OEM 3rd Gen / 1st Gen brakes will not fit. Requires upgrading to 4th or 5th Gen 4Runner calipers and rotors. (sold separately).

Hub Assemblies: Replaces press-in bearings with 4th Gen 4Runner bolt-on hubs (sold separately).

Wheels: Must use 17" rim with maximum of 4.5" backspacing.
